Noah's Landing-October 2009

I'm going to attempt to catch up on my blogging, since its been almost a YEAR since my last post. Here goes!

We took a field trip to Noah's Landing last October with some homeschool friends and got to see lots of neat animals that we've never seen before. We all really enjoyed it, but it was an all day event, and I was really tired by the time we got home. The lady that owns and runs the rehabilitation center did a thorough job of showing us all the animals they have. My brain was on overload with all the knowledge we gained about each of the the animals!

Here's a pic of Luke and friends (and the back of Seth's head) with a hedgehog. He felt really bumpy!

Seth got to hold this reptile and the other kids got to come up and pet it.

This cute possum had been hit by a car as an infant, and is now cross-eyed. They take care of lots of injured animals at Noah's Landing!

Here's a baby alligator that the kids got to pet!

This little animal was a little timid and liked to hide in its house. (I can't believe how much Luke has grown since last year!)

Seth was picked to hold this little thing (I can't remember what it was called) so that the other kids could pet it.

Llamas!

Zebras! (We got to feed carrots to the zebras and llamas. They drool. They were a HUGE hit with the kids!)

We had a great time at Noah's Landing!
