Weird 3 year old stuff and our day

After I helped Seth get ready for bed, he was making faces in the mirror on his closet door and entertaining himself. It was actually pretty funny, so I laughed along with him. Then he decided to lick the mirror. He started at the far right and continued horizontally across the width of the door. It caught me off guard and I didn't know what to say. After I told him to stop, I had to leave the room to regain my composure so he wouldn't see me laughing. When I got back I told him the mirror was dirty because we touch it evertime we open and close the doors. I then informed him that he shouldn't lick anything that we don't eat or drink. I'm pretty sure I'll have to reiterate that idea to him in the near future.

We went to the puppet show this morning at the Cultural Arts Center. Today's show was the Saggy Baggy Elephant. Seth thought it was great. Luke didn't. The lady that does the show has a really loud voice and didn't need the microphone she was using. After crying off and on for a good portion of the show, Luke finally concked out and slept until the last number. I think we'll wait a few more months before we try going back.

I took both boys to the doctor this afternoon. They are both suffering from allergies. Seth has been on Claritin for a while, so the dr gave him a nose spray to take with it. Luke was given permission to take Claritin. He said their allergies should be better after Memorial Day.

My First Post

Luke went to bed at 6:30 tonight, so Seth and I headed outside to split some hostas. It felt like I was trying split petrified wood, so I decided to dig up the whole thing. I actually dug up two whole (huge) hostas and replanted them in the backyard. THey were really heavy, so we put them in the umbrella stroller and Seth drove them to the backyard for me. With the hostas out of the way, I realized that one of my azaleas was being overrun by the butterfly bush and a holly, so I decided it had to be moved. I dug around for quite a while and finally gave up and asked Jesse for help. I couldn't get any leverage on it because it is in a raised bed and was really close to two other large plants. I couldn't get into the bed, so I had to dig from the ground, and it turned out to be quite a consuming task. Jesse came to my rescue and had it moved with 2 minutes. I'm glad I married such a strong guy!
